Police visits to schools have become a common and beneficial practice in many communities. It is an excellent opportunity to educate our students about various aspects of law, safety, and citizenship. Officers provided valuable information on topics such as:
- Internet Safety: Helping students understand the dangers of online interactions and how to protect themselves from cyberbullying, predators, and scams.
- Drug Awareness: Educating students about the risks associated with drug use and the importance of making healthy choices.
- Bullying Prevention: Discussing the impact of bullying and strategies for prevention, including how to seek help if they or someone they know is being bullied.
- Emergency Preparedness: Teaching students what to do in case of an emergency, such as a fire, natural disaster, or active shooter situation.
